The disease attacks immune system, causing sufferers to lose weight, grow weak, and be infected by a number of other common ailments. The disease is caused by a virus that can infect and be transmitted in human blood. Harvesting 338 million bushels of wheat during the year, North Dakota officially passes Kansas as the country's No. 1 wheat producing state.
